
Appoint Recruitment is a recruitment company based in Bath, United Kingdom. The brief for the project was to update/redesign their online presence. Breathe Media had previously worked closely with them to re-design their print marketing material. They wanted the website to reflect their new and improved look.
The site had certain aspects that had to be incorporated into the design. One such aspect was the design and then development of an easy-to-use search function for a database of job vacancies. Not only would the user need to be able to search for these jobs easily, but a process would need to be designed to allow them to then submit their resume and apply for jobs.
Breathe Media went into the project from a strong usability and accessibility direction. The site was designed to make the process of applying for jobs as easy as possible. This in turn increased the number of people submitting their resumes to the site which had a direct impact on Appoint’s revenue.
The design was created from the bottom up and included a custom Content Management System for Appoint to be able to upload their own content to the site. All administration of the site is now done by the recruitment consultants who have no knowledge of HTML or other Web Technologies. Breathe Media prides itself on creating accessible front end design and providing clients with accessible ways to manage the site without further administration or updating costs.
